I have the following issue: we\u2019ve published a chatbot with a certain amount of flows which can be closed by the user himself. The session will be solved from that point and the chatbot will be shown minimized (so the user can still have acces to it anytime).

However, when the user clicks on the minimized chatbot, no new session will start and the whole chatbot acts buggy (because we havent thought about \u2018re-entering\u2019 the session).
We want to show the user the first flow again, but we don\u2019t have an idea how to fix this problem.

I am trying to create a chatbot for whatsapp in freshchat. I am trying to render buttons according to response from api. I am using the process as can be seen from the demo bot dialogs. I am using an array returned from api as the button name. Everything else is working. except the buttons ae not rendered in the bot dialog in whatsapp. Please help if you can. I had the same. For multiple items in the response the json should be an array without any labels for the attributes. Only the array name.<\/p>

Example;<\/p>

{\"Orders\":<\/p>

[123,456,788]<\/p>

}<\/p>

And then define the response parameter as: Orders[]<\/p>

And in the button choose the api and then the Orders[]<\/p>

I am trying to create a chatbot for whatsapp in freshchat. I am trying to render buttons according to response from api. I am using the process as can be seen from the demo bot dialogs. Today we had a meeting with a customer about Freshchat and their Chatbot.<\/p>

During this meeting, I've seen a few strange behaviors\u2026<\/p>

Like when we've changed something and ticked on preview, the bot always started at Flow 1.1<\/p>

In our training environment, however, our bots always start the preview from the point where we have edited something.<\/p>

So say if you add a Flow 5.5 and want to check that, you just click on Preview it starts the preview at 5.5 and not on 1.1<\/p>

Is this a change that i've missed? or is this a setting that we can edit?<\/p>

Secondary, we've noticed that we cannot delete a pointer that is set.<\/p>

So, if the customer creates a flow (say 5.5 again) and then selects that when choosing option 1, the next step should be flow 6.1 and afterwards sees that it should be 6.2, it is not editable.\u00a0<\/p>

Do we miss something, or is this normal behavior?<\/p>

I understand your concerns.

To answer the first question, If it\u2019s a \u201cself-service widget\u201d, the preview starts from the current flow that you are in. But if it\u2019s a \u201cConversational widget\u201d, the preview always starts from the First flow. Thing is that, previously, when you click on \u201cNew Bot\u201d, it will be a Self Service widget by default and you will have to change this to \u201cConversational widget\u201d if\/when needed. But now, when you click on \u201cnew bot\u201d, you will be choosing the kind of BOT that you need. hence you might have noticed the difference.

To answer the second question, You can actually remove the condition. if you need to change the flow anytime, you can click on the condition arrow mark right next to the Message and delete the conditions:

We are using the chatbot in a self serve capacity and I have been asked to also launch said bot via a button.\u00a0<\/p>

The code that we were using did launch the chat widget but not the bot. Our bot is only available to users who are logged in and therefore, are authenticated when they launch the chatbot window.\u00a0<\/p>

As someone who is not a javascript coder, how do i launch the chatbot via an on click of a button? AND have it still utilize the authentication process?\u00a0<\/p>

I hope that this is easily doable and would be very grateful for any direction, guidance, assistance, insight and any other advice you might have.\u00a0<\/p>

Hello there!

So me and my team are supporting few different websites.<\/p>

We will have the chat widget branded for the each site, and we want to have different bots on each website.<\/p>

As the conversation bot is using topics and the topics are shared if the language is the same, I cannot seem to figure out a way to make different bots for the different websites.<\/p>

Hello there!

So me and my team are supporting few different websites.<\/p>

We will have the chat widget branded for the each site, and we want to have different bots on each website.<\/p>

As the conversation bot is using topics and the topics are shared if the language is the same, I cannot seem to figure out a way to make different bots for the different websites.<\/p>

I recently deployed a self-serve bot to my company\u2019s website and I have reports that while the chat session is open the 1st Hello flow I created triggers at random intervals (no rhyme or reason), sometimes it triggers itself at 8 minutes of session time, sometimes 14, sometimes 20 etc. To combat this I\u2019ve added an inactivity timer so that if the session is inactive for 8 minutes it should trigger an end chat\/inactive flow I created, however, the inactivity timer isn\u2019t being triggered either.\u00a0<\/p>

Any ideas as to what I may be missing?\u00a0<\/p>

We would like to build a bot that allows us to collect data, store it and present back to user at the end of the conversation for them to confirm all is ok or to go back to the dialog that has incorrect data, but if we have 10 questions and they go back to question 3, we don't want them to have to fill in the answers again for questions 4-10.<\/p>

whats app is very critical in our company and because we have multi-agents in the office we go to fresh chat, the point was not clarified by the salesman that maybe the whats app will not approve our marketing chat.\u00a0

Hi, I'm trying to activate my custom bot, but when I click \"Set Live\" I simply get the error message \"Error setting custom bot live.\"<\/p>

I've tried disabling the Answer Bot, and I do not have the hallway bot active. Yet I cannot activate the custom bot. I do not have any other custom bots active, either.<\/p>

I'm not sure if you still need an answer to this but I had the same issue. FreshChat Support say that it happens when you lose connection but I'm not really sure that's what the issue is, I have rebooted my router a number of times along with my laptop and still get the error from time to time. It usually happens if you are idle on the page for a long time. The best advice I can give is if you are creating flows in Custom Bot to save regularly incase this happens as the work you do will not save and you will have to start from your last save point. Highly frustrating as you would think an auto save feature would have been implemented by now.<\/p>
