Hi everyone!

Just getting used to using FreshSales and understanding how this awesome tool can benefit our team.<\/p>

Even the basic email\u00a0tool is rather dynamic...and almost TOO much so.<\/p>

My question, is there a way to set permissions to simplify the formatting options in emails? \u00a0Our team has a tendency to copy + paste many pieces and parts together in to emails and it seems as this can lead to the emails looking rather poor sometimes!<\/p>

Instead of teaching folks out to clean it all up, and not have 14 fonts & 4 font sizes and everything all mixed up...is there a way to have a default setting, not matter the content that is copied in?<\/p>

Is it possible to allow some users to create a custom module record and change a field while creating the record\u00a0but not edit the field value later when editing the custom module record?\u00a0(even if they own it). \u00a0<\/p>

Here is an example:<\/p>

We have a custom module record \u201cTraining\u201d with a field cf_contact. \u00a0When a sales owner creates the record, they should be able to set cf_contact. \u00a0 But if they sales owner then edits the record, they can no longer change cf_contact.<\/p>

I see under Admin Settings > Roles > Manage Roles > Sales user > Permissions that I can allow sales user to create but not edit the record. \u00a0But this applies to all fields in the record. \u00a0Can I make it so that the Sales user can edit other fields but not the cf_contact?<\/p>

It seems from the \u201cField Permissions\u201d that if I make the field read-only the Sales user can\u2019t \u00a0set the field when creating the record.<\/p>

Here is a bit more detail on my need in case its helpful to the engineering\u00a0team:<\/p>

• I created a Training module which is used to track customers who obtain training<\/li>\t
• The sales owner creates a training record and can set the start and end dates as well as the contact.<\/li>\t
• Once done a journey will register user, send emails at start and end dates and take some other actions<\/li>\t
• To avoid invalid states, I need to limit updates sales owner can make to following:\t
  • Only update start date if current date < start date<\/li>\t\t
  • Only update end date if current date < end date<\/li>\t\t
  • Only allow training status to be changed from \u201cNeeds Attention\u201d to \u201cExtended\u201d and only if end date changed to future date<\/li>\t\t
  • Do not update contact or training track ever<\/li>\t<\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

        I see under Admin Settings > Roles > Manage Roles > Sales user > Permissions that I can allow sales user to create but not edit the record. \u00a0But this applies to all fields in the record. \u00a0Can I make it so that the Sales user can edit other fields but not the cf_contact?<\/p>

        It seems from the \u201cField Permissions\u201d that if I make the field read-only the Sales user can\u2019t \u00a0set the field when creating the record.<\/p>
