On the Freshdesk contacts page, how can I customize the fields\/columns shown? I want to hide \u201cFacebook\u201d and \u201cTwitter\u201d and show a custom customer field (\u201cDepartment\u201d) that I created. Hi, we recently have a joint customer account in FreshDesk who now want to go their separate ways. Even though the mobile number has been deleted from the contact to create a new account for the other customer, any calls and text are still creating and logging under the previous joint account. We\u2019re aware we can completely delete the contacts to start from scratch but we don\u2019t want to loose previous tickets\/communications with the customers. What are people doing when you have a customer that is acquired or merges and starts going by a new name?\u00a0 I\u2019m finding there is no way to Edit existing names or merge with other companies, like you can for contacts.

What are people doing when you have a customer that is acquired or merges and starts going by a new name?\u00a0 I\u2019m finding there is no way to Edit existing names or merge with other companies, like you can for contacts.

Is here anybody who successfully managed to sync their outlook contacts with freshdesk with the use of the market place app \u201cMicrosoft Outlook Contacts\u201d?

At my helpdesk the sync doesn\u2019t start. I\u2019m not even get asked to log in to my 365 account.

If it is not redirecting to the O365 login page, can you check below points<\/p>

  1. Whether browser popup is restricting any redirection<\/li>\t
  2. Your O365 account is having permission to authenticate the entry of external apps<\/li>\t
  3. Try in an incognito mode of the browser to make sure the page redirection happens smooth<\/li><\/ol>

    Post sync, In freshdesk contact database, check for the tags with outlook_contacts to validate whether the sync is happening<\/p>

I have been using Freshdesk with my support team for a year and I still have several things I can\u2019t do (or at least, I have not found how to do them).<\/p>

First and foremost is the possibility to filter tickets, contacts and companies using contact or company fields<\/strong><\/u> (and more precisely custom fields).<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

For instance, par of our customers have an \u00ab autonomy \u00bb contract while the other part have more assistance with several options in their contracts.<\/p>

I set it up in Freshdesk with several checkboxes (one for each additional option)<\/p>

On FreshDesk I want to verify a user for them. So I do NOT need to send them a verification email. Is this possible. I do not care if the users can login, I just want to open tickets for them. I need their emails verified but they always end up in SPAM so I have to phone them anyway. I am looking for an option to make contact fields conditional, similar to what you can now do with\u00a0sections<\/strong>\u00a0in the ticket fields configuration page:<\/p>

We had an issue that a Contact was flagged as SPAM. It took way to long to go through 2800 records looking for the contacts emails and marking them as not spam. It would have been much easier to be able to sort my contact so it would have grouped all of them together and reduced missing some of them.<\/p>

FD is not user friendly in terms of contact and agent management . In compare to other tools , FD is not providing us to manage the contact , Even we can not download the filtered contact . Every time if you want to check your contacts , you need to download the all contacts . That will take 1-2 hr to generate the report , If you want to do bulk merging of contacts or bulk update of your agent data that is not possible\u00a0on FD . Please, I would like to hide certain custom fields in contacts, to certain agents.\u00a0Maybe an app that allows me to perform this action, or how it can be done with roles, if they give me the configuration.<\/p>

Experiencing a real headache when trying to merge client contacts\u00a0under a single company. The company in question utilizes Netsuite custom email sender addresses - so every new ticket a contact creates also creates a new contact in Freshdesk. These are all some long variation of random numbers. So for example, we have a regular contact who often creates tickets - we now have 60+ separate Contact entries for this one individual. Normally, we would just merge these subsequent contact emails under the main contact, but the limitation of 10 email addresses doesn\u2019t allow for this.\u00a0<\/p>

Is this an issue others have dealt with, and if so, what was your solution? A following use case example:<\/p>

Contact creates a ticket that comes to Freshdesk and a Contact record is created for the person. After x time period (for example, 6 months) and no other activity (like further tickets have been raised by the Contact), we would be able to hide\/encrypt\u00a0the identifying data from the Contact record (name, email, etc.) for legal reasons. If the contact would send a ticket again after this, the data would be again unhidden. All tickets data from should still be acccessable for reporting purposes, if needed. This would mostly be related to tickets that are \u201cfeedbacks\u201d in nature.<\/p>

I understand that deleting a user would mark all upcoming contacts as spam. Is there any way to \u201cjust delete\u201d, without marking as spam?<\/p>

A following use case example:<\/p>

Contact creates a ticket that comes to Freshdesk and a Contact record is created for the person. After x time period (for example, 6 months) and no other activity (like further tickets have been raised by the Contact), we would be able to hide\/encrypt\u00a0the identifying data from the Contact record (name, email, etc.) for legal reasons. If the contact would send a ticket again after this, the data would be again unhidden. All tickets data from should still be acccessable for reporting purposes, if needed. This would mostly be related to tickets that are \u201cfeedbacks\u201d in nature.<\/p>

I understand that deleting a user would mark all upcoming contacts as spam. Is there any way to \u201cjust delete\u201d, without marking as spam?<\/p>

Hi all, We\u2019re trying to get set up here. I\u2019ve created a freshdesk app in Azure, and successfully SSO agents in, grantng agent roles within the azure APP.\u00a0<\/p>

However, configuring SSO for contacts gives a completely different identifier so i can\u2019t link it to the same app.\u00a0<\/p>

Considering the Azure freshdesk app has roles for both agents and contacts, it seems logical that one azure app is intended for agents and contacts<\/p>

Am i missing something here? can the SSO method for agents be re-used for contacts without making a new one?\u00a0 if so, how?. I would like to ensure that all contacts who have submitted a ticket are associated with a client, so that future emails\/tickets from them are handled correctly. I would like to ensure that all contacts who have submitted a ticket are associated with a client, so that future emails\/tickets from them are handled correctly. How can I find a list of my contacts with no company?
