I am the co-founder of\u00a0StackIt<\/a>. We are building a plugin on google sheets\u00a0to get data from Freshworks to Google Sheets. We are working with our first 10 customers to do a POC,\u00a0all for free<\/strong>.<\/p>

  1. We can import the board into Google Sheets in the format you want.<\/li>\t
  2. This sheet can also be updated with a set frequency (Everyday, Every hour) without any manual effort.<\/li><\/ol>

I created a webform for customers to fill out right before they get to our stripe payment page so that we can auto create contacts in Freshsales. Great idea! Though I realized that they may move on to the payment page and then decide not to enter payment and close the window (if they change their mind of course). I really wanted to send an automated Thank You email as soon as a payment was made and at first was going to trigger a workflow tied to the webform (when contact is in webform product type then send email) something like that.\u00a0<\/p>

I am new to the platform and having an issue deciding how to enter Contacts for Accounts (existing customers) vs Contacts for new Leads (potential customers). If I want to enter another employee that works for my existing customer, do I really need to take them through a Lifecycle and mark them closed\/won? It seems like a lot of extra work and will mess up my monthly reports. Any advice on how to quickly add a Contact to an\u00a0existing Account without taking them through the Lifecycle? We are exploring on FreshWorks CRM.\u00a0I noticed there is Contacts and Accounts in FreshWorks. And we noticed we can just use Contacts, without needing to tagged to any Account.<\/p>

After created a Contact, I can add a Deal to this Contact, and subsequently moving the Deals all the way to Won status (Deal closed).<\/p>

P\/S: Our business is\u00a0B2C (Business to Consumer), our customers are individual consumers, so we interact\u00a0directly with consumers\u00a0instead of Companies.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

So I would like to understand, in such case, under what circumstances that we need to use an Account? (ie: To tagged a Contact to an Account). Any implications if we don\u2019t create any Accounts at all?<\/p>

For eg, will it affect the default Analytics reports, etc<\/p>

If in case, you would be requiring to add the company information of a particular contact as well separately or interacting with multiple users from the same company, then accounts module can be used.\u00a0<\/p>

For example, there\u2019s an account \u201cABC\u201d and you would be communicating with more than one user from the company, then they can be added as contacts and linked to the account.\u00a0<\/p>

However, it is not mandatory to add in the account information in the account module. You can always leave the section empty and it wouldn\u2019t affect the reports as well.\u00a0<\/p>
