Cyber Monday’s growing popularity makes it a day that businesses can no longer ignore. So here are seven tips to get the most of your sales this Cyber Monday using a CRM.

1. Leverage your CRM for amazing sales campaign ideas: If Cyber Monday hasn’t been on your radar this holiday season, it’s not too late to whip up a quick sales campaign. You can still aim to bring shoppers to your website throughout the week using your CRM and get your sales numbers high.

2. Revisit your historic wins: If you’re using a CRM to track sales activities, you can rely on sales reports to deep dive into the numbers. With advanced reporting, you can pull up data and analyze your sales performance via visual charts. These insights can help you determine the deals that sell out fast and identify products that need huge discounts to capture your customer’s attention.

3. Make some noise to woo your customers: Having a powerful landing page can attract leads and educate them about the benefits of your campaign. You can also feature web forms for visitors to submit their contact details for further engagement. A CRM with a landing page builder like Freshsales Suite can help you build and deploy landing pages quickly. Landing pages that connect with your CRM ensure that lead information captured goes straight to your CRM for your sales team to follow up.

4. Promote your campaigns through SMS: Sales SMS are quick to send, have a wider reach and enjoy high open rates. They are versatile, direct and can be a stand-alone campaign or work with other sales channels. You can use SMS to raise awareness on upcoming deals and sales listings by effortlessly reaching out to your prospect’s mobile phones. It is also a great way to turn existing customers into repeat buyers by promoting exclusive sales coupons among old customers to increase sales.

5. Act on your lead-gen campaigns: Cyber Monday can be a clever way to push ready-to-buy leads into committing with your business. A CRM that offers deal insights can give you an overview of deals that are ready to buy and the deals that need more nurturing.

6. Capture last-minute shoppers with webforms: Adding web forms to your website allows visitors to leave information like name, email address, and more. Web forms make sure that lead information captured goes straight to your CRM. To increase responses, promote exclusive benefits like free shipping, early access, or faster delivery. You can also use this opportunity to market product bundles or open up cross-selling/upsell opportunities.

7. Personalize conversations and prevent a mass exodus: Integrating live chat to your website helps you clear last-minute doubts, questions, and reservations shoppers may have. Live chat also prevents interested leads from leaving your website. By setting up chatbots, you can automate responses to frequently asked questions and ensure prospects get a response without overwhelming your customer service and sales team.

https://uploads-us-west-2.insided.com/freshworks-en/icon/200x200/756be2bf-fa20-4670-908b-f44bd3da9712.png
https://uploads-us-west-2.insided.com/freshworks-en/attachment/cc6b4106-d4de-4efd-a298-a768bdf775e0_thumb.png
Top Contributor

">

Sales funnel is an illustration of the stages that a prospect goes through before becoming a customer. And, as your sales reps start engaging with them, only your most qualified prospects move to the next stage, and ultimately towards the close. Sales funnel is typically broken down into three stages, namely Awareness stage (Top-of-the funnel), Consideration stage (Middle-of-the funnel) and Decision stage (Bottom-of-the funnel).

Here’s how you can set up your sales funnel software in seven steps:

1. Organize leads entering the funnel: A sales funnel software can help you organize data by breaking them down into modules for managing leads, customers, and opportunities. Capturing leads is the first step to the sales process. A few ways you could capture leads are placing web forms and Call to Action (CTAs) on your blogs and web pages, using a chatbot for intuitive conversations, and getting referrals from your existing customer base.

2. Qualify leads in the funnel: Using AI, sales funnel software can qualify leads for you based on the lead’s interest and behavior; saving you time and energy from scrambling inside the funnel. AI-powered funnel software helps sales reps identify hot, warm and cold leads through an effective lead scoring system. You can assign positive and negative signals for your contacts.Based on this, AI lets you know which leads are likely to convert into contacts. For example, a lead who does not reply to your follow up mails is likely a negative signal. You can configure the lead scoring rules to match your ideal buyer persona.

3. Engage leads through the funnel: After viewing contact scores in the CRM and how likely a lead is going to convert, sales reps need to reach out to the priority leads over phone or email. Using a sales funnel software with built-in email and phone instead, you can create email templates in your funnel software to quickly reach out to leads. You can also automate sending out the first welcome email to new leads using workflows.

4. Track Leads: Modern CRMs also track your emails and notify you when the lead opens your email. You’ll know if your email has been read or not. You can also track email metrics to test your email performance, and craft better ones to increase open rates. Phone is still an effective tool for sales reps to sell. A powerful CRM allows you to make calls in a single click, auto-log and record calls, and transfer calls to other agents without the need for wires or third-party tools.

5. Automatically move leads down the funnel: As leads progress down the funnel, you must be able to analyze the number of leads by stage in order to ensure your funnel is always full to the brim with leads. It’s also important to know what stage each lead is at to know what to do next. A CRM can move leads down the funnel automatically through workflow automations and templates.

6. Create opportunities to the pipeline: After you’ve met or spoken to the lead, and if they’re committed to buy, you’ll have to quantify the value of the opportunity. Visual sales pipeline in a CRM provides an overview of your deals by stage, allowing you to see how leads are moving down the sales funnel. It also gives sales reps a quick estimate of their targets, and urges them to add more leads during funnel building.

7. Nurture leads in the funnel: Not every lead who enters your funnel finds their way to the bottom. Sometimes, even all the qualified leads don’t reach the bottom of the funnel. A CRM helps you win back lost opportunities through lead nurturing. By interacting with leads, whether top, middle or bottom, with relevant nurturing campaigns you keep them interested and groom them into paying customers.

https://uploads-us-west-2.insided.com/freshworks-en/icon/200x200/ed646d50-6776-4c11-b37f-a7fae7c70167.png
https://uploads-us-west-2.insided.com/freshworks-en/attachment/1614c0e0-6203-4731-9f87-f539848f3810_thumb.png
Skilled Expert

Sales can be a messy, broken process as reps scramble for data on the right leads to target and nurture and sales managers try to get complete visibility into ongoing deals. A powerful CRM can streamline your sales processes and boost productivity, thus easing the lives of your sales reps and sales managers.

From helping sales reps identify sales-ready leads to providing visibility into your sales pipeline, here are four ways you can integrate a CRM in your sales adoption plan:

  1. Provide a single source of truth: It’s easy to lose or miscommunicate lead data when leads are passed between different sales teams. This leaves salespeople with an incomplete view of the prospect. A CRM helps prevent this by documenting all prospect and customer information in one place.

This serves as a single source of truth that all reps can access to get a complete, 360-degree view of prospects including: - A quick summary of basic lead and customer information - A chronological timeline view of each client’s engagement with your business.

  2. Automate mundane tasks: Salespeople spend several hours updating their CRM each week, following up with leads, scheduling meetings, and sending emails among other repetitive tasks. An intuitive CRM can help automate all these tasks, taking away the grunt work and giving salespeople more time to sell.

With a CRM, you can automatically:
     - Capture lead details directly into the CRM
     - Set reminders if a prospect does not attend your call
     - Assign leads to salespeople and reduce lead response time
     - You can also choose from predefined workflow templates within the CRM that help automate manual tasks

  3. Predict leads that will convert: Prioritizing the right leads helps reps reach out to warm and ready-to-convert leads at the right time. A CRM with predictive contact scoring helps salespeople identify sales-ready prospects by giving each lead a score based on their level of engagement with your business and how well they fit with your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). Sales reps can use this score to decide which leads to reach out to right away with a sales proposal, which ones to nurture, and which ones to ignore.

  4. Get complete visibility into your sales pipeline: Broken sales processes that are monitored using multiple tools make it difficult for sales managers to get a full view of what’s going on. With a CRM, you can get a bird’s eye view of the entire sales pipeline, manage deal stages, and identify stagnant deals.

1. Leverage in-person cues: During face-to-face meeting with prospects, sales reps can gauge a lead’s interest and steer conversations based on their body language, rapport, and behavior

2. Establish positive relationships: Both B2C and B2B consumers today crave human connections. In-person sales meetings can help build positive relationships with contacts, ultimately building trust and loyalty

3. Get first-hand insights: Outside sales allows reps to talk one-on-one with industry professionals, where they can learn about market conditions and competitors

4. Provide customers the chance to touch and feel a product: Live demos allow leads to ask personalized questions and discover how the product can help their unique challenges and needs. Being on-site with a lead while they learn how to use a product is an invaluable way to show its capabilities

5. Increased clarity: Live demos reduce the chance of dreaded connectivity issues when trying to show a product to a lead via video call. There is no lack of clarification or frustrating gaps in connectivity

6. Create a personal experience: In an age where most things are done through a screen, it can be refreshing for leads to put a face to a business. Brands that practice outside sales can create a personalized human experience for each prospect

From identifying the best channel for different audiences to helping reps with faster customer interactions and turnovers, cultivating sales experience is important for all reps. What are the types of sales experience that a sales rep should have?

</content-quote>

There are four types of sales experience that any sales rep should have.

1. Inside sales experience: Selling or building relationships with prospects or customers from within an office. Reps engage with prospects via phone, email, or video chat.

2. Outside sales experience: Sales reps go out on the field to interact with prospects and customers in person. Such interaction can be done in trade shows, industry events, or conferences.

3. Inbound sales experience: Engaging with a lead who is inquiring about your company’s product or service. These customers, who are warm leads, contact your business via live chat, your website forms, or social media platforms (DMs).They are already aware of what they want.
