Not sure if this is a question for Assets or Requesters but hopefully I\u2019m in the right place.\u00a0

We have 4 hot desks in the office, we would like to assign the equipment to Hot desk 1, hot desk 2 ect.\u00a0 However I cannot find a way of creating a User\/Requester without an email address.\u00a0

Is is possible to create a service account of sorts for each hot desk in the office so I can assign assets to them?\u00a0

It would really help if the address information is visible or at least easy accessible from within a ticket or asset. Now you can only see the identifier and that is not the entire address.
To\u00a0see the complete address you need to be an admin and go to settings-assets-locations.

I\u2019m trying to figure out whether its possible to query the FreshService API for a specific asset based on multiple fields. Apologies if this isn\u2019t the correct place to ask this question!<\/p>

In our environment some computers are often missing either their asset tag, name (aka display name) or hostname field. In a perfect world, all three fields would be identical for every asset,\u00a0however as this isn\u2019t the case, I need a way to query for an asset across all three fields.\u00a0

Is it possible to query for an asset that matches on ANY of those fields. Similar to the way the FreshService search works in the UI of the inventory page?

According to the documentation\u00a0h<\/a>ere<\/a>,\u00a0the only fields supported on the search endpoint are;<\/p>

I have provided some screen shots of my service request, along with my automation.\u00a0<\/p>

What I am trying to do is basically create an expression to do simple addition, adding the total reimbursement cost. I would prefer having the total amount calculated in real time if possible on the form. Not sure if that is a possibility.\u00a0<\/p>

Being very new to this, I am having trouble creating an expression that works. If you have any tips or tricks or an opinion if this is even a possibility, I would greatly appreciate it!<\/p>

I have a need of hiding a few specific Service Items from the service catalog list view in the portal interface.<\/p>

Has anyone done this in the community and can share the script?\u00a0<\/p>

The result I\u2019m after is to be able to hide specific items from normal category views because they only need to be visible through a bundled item.     We have come across a problem where if someone moves department the assets associated to that person stay in the same department.\u00a0<\/p>

    We update our departments in AAD and then use AAD sync to update our departments in FreshService.\u00a0<\/p>

    When a department gets updated the assets follows the user and therefore the users department should change in the assets as well. I\u2019m hoping this is a bug and not something that got overlooked.\u00a0<\/p>

    Can anyone tell me how to hide \u201cplace request\u201d button on a service item based on the answer to a question the customer gives on a drop down.<\/p>

    Basically I want to ask the customer to make sure they have done something before they can continue with the request so I want to hide the place request button until unless they select the yes option in the drop down.\u00a0<\/p>

    This service item has a dropdown menu with two values (\u201cRead access\u201d and \u201cWrite access\u201d). When the \u201cRead access\u201d is selected, the \u201cPlace request\u201d button will disappear.<\/p>

    ID \u201c45_d5206d17-dcb2-4536-9147-3f6edaa8e05f\u201d from the dropdown field has to be be changed in the script as well as the dropdown value in the row from \u201cvar hide_entry = \u2018Read access\u2019; \u201c.<\/p>

    In reviewing the ability for requesters to edit a service request after an approver has rejected a request, once the requester edits the service request, the approver doesn\u2019t have the ability to now Approve it.\u00a0 On the Agent side it shows as rejected and the field is not editable.\u00a0<\/p>

    New employee starts and I need to find a laptop to assign to them.<\/p>

    I use the filter to change to the asset type I want = Computer<\/p>

    I go to the bottom of the filter and select + more and add Product and select the laptop based on role or profile (Executive, Developer, PowerUser) I know which model to select in Product. I also add\u00a0Asset State and select In Stock (versus In Use, Retired, etc)<\/p>

    The Asset list refreshes with list of Computers, for the specific model I want that are in stock. I then select what I want and assign it to the user.<\/p>

    Basically I use the Asset State as the filter for assignment versus looking for assets without a Used By in a field.<\/p>

    Yes, there are options, but ultimately there are some bottleneck using PowerBI.\u00a0You can get the Service Request Item\u2019s\u00a0custom fields if you set a Service Item =\/includes Service Item Name (need to type it as it doesn't auto recognize and is case sensitive).<\/p>

    The bottleneck is that you can have one scheduled export per module, in this case, Tickets. If you export it with one service request item, then you've consumed the tickets module data export and can't make another one, so you would need to include all conditions in one single export for it to work. On top of that, if you filter by a\u00a0list of Service Requests Item(s), you leave out Incidents. To do both, you\u2019ll need to set up an AND\/OR with an advanced filter and create one group for all Service Request items and another group for Incidents. Lastly,\u00a0the export only supports up to 70 fields and you may quickly run out of fields when you bring the basic properties + all the specific form fields from the SR if you have a lot of custom fields across multiple service request items - most do.\u00a0<\/p>
